The story, period by period

PERIOD 8:  "'Procurement Pro Consulting' take control with one round to go

Getting to the top is hard enough, but staying there is even harder, and so it proved during period 8 for the previous leaders "Tender Titans", who dropped back to third place, having been overtaken by the leaders from period 6, "Hexagonal", who moved up to second after solid 9% growth. However, at the very top there were new leaders for the fourth consecutive round as 13% growth enabled "Procurement Pro Consulting" to climb two places and into pole position with 1,573 pts, and they have a 57-point cushion to the chasing pack, which could be significant as the teams enter the final round.

In a round of mixed results, the outstanding performers were "Hungry Mate", whose impressive 16% improvement enabled them to move up 14 places to 7th. At the other end of the table the "Contract Conquerors" also enjoyed a fruitful period with 13% groth that lifted them away from the foot of the table.

With just one round to go each team will be looking to finish strongly, and every decision will count in the final reckoning, and a number of teams are well placed to become Champions should the leaders slip up.
